This course is tailored for musicians who want to strengthen their salsa ensemble skills. Participants will explore existing arrangements, refine their ensemble playing, and receive focused instrumental guidance with a special emphasis on the rhythmic foundations of Cuban music.

Led by David Pattman
David has performed with internationally renowned artists including Omara Portuondo and Cachaito of the Buena Vista Social Club, Bebo Valdés, Tito Allen, Adalberto Santiago, Tito Nieves and Jimmy Bosch. His recording credits include Paul McCartney, Jacob Collier, Cheikh Lô, Afro Cubism, Cubanismo and Snowboy and the Latin Section. A sworn ritual batá drummer with over twenty-five years of experience in Afro-Cuban folkloric music, David combines a distinguished international performing career with more than a three decades of teaching experience, working with individuals, ensembles and university students.
